Special session called for five days
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi said on Thursday that the government has called a special session of Parliament for five days between September 18 and 22. He has expressed hope that there will be a meaningful discussion in the House during the ‘Amrit Kaal‘.
Pralhad Joshi said in a post on X that the special session of Parliament (13th session of the 17th Lok Sabha and 261st session of the Rajya Sabha) will run from September 18 to 22. There will be five meetings during this. He said that there is hope of meaningful discussion and debate in the Parliament during Amrit Kaal.
Session called after G-20 summit
The G20 summit will be held in the national capital Delhi on September 9 and 10. A special session of Parliament will be held a few days later. No official statement has come yet regarding what will be the agenda in this session.
Opposition created ruckus in monsoon session
Let us tell you, the monsoon session of Parliament was marred by uproar over the Manipur violence. Opposition members created a ruckus in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, due to which the proceedings of the House were disrupted several times.
