Railway is not taking lesson from Madurai accident, Cylinder found in Sambalpur-Jammu Tawi Express, Pantry car manager arrested
Jharkhand News Railway is not taking any lesson despite the Madurai train accident. The use of gas cylinders in trains continues unabated. This came to light when a special checking operation was carried out by the RPF and Commercial Department at Muri Railway Station. Meanwhile, a gas cylinder was found in the pantry car of 18309 Sambalpur-Jammu Tawi Express. The pantry manager has been arrested.

Pantrycar manager arrested
A gas cylinder was found in the pantry car of 18309 Sambalpur-Jammu Tawi Express . The pantry manager has been arrested. RPF SI B. Mallick sought documents related to the carrying of inflammable items in the train by the Pantrycar Manager Monu Singh alias Monu, Kishunpura, District Phulena (Madhya Pradesh), but he failed to produce them.
The manager admitted his mistake
The gas cylinder has been seized in the presence of witnesses. Carrying any inflammable material in the train is prohibited. Carrying it is a punishable offense under section 164 Railway Act.
Monu was arrested and brought to RPF/Post/Muri along with the seized articles. His statement was recorded. He has accepted his crime. Food was cooked using gas cylinders in the train.
It is forbidden to keep gas cylinders in the train
RPF team checking in the pantry car of Jammu Tawi Express, caterers are prohibited from keeping gas cylinders in the train. Due to this there is a possibility of a train accident . A campaign is being run regarding this.
Trains are equipped with electric stoves: Under the current system, trains have electric ovens and electric stoves.
There is a system for heating food and cooking in some trains. In some trains, food is prepared from the base kitchen and served to passengers after heating it in an electric oven.
