According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light/moderate to heavy rain and lightning over Andaman and Nicobar Islands during August 1 to September 4, Gangetic West Bengal on September 3 and Odisha during September 2-6. Along with this, there is also a possibility of thunderstorm.

According to IMD, today i.e. on September 1, there is a possibility of very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal. Apart from this, there is a possibility of light rain in the rest of the country.
