Jagran correspondent, Rampur. After vacating the building of Jauhar Research Institute from the possession of Samajwadi Party’s National General Secretary Azam Khan, now preparations are also being made to vacate the SP office. The District Magistrate has written a letter to the government in this regard. Another school of Azam Khan is running near the SP office. That too will be evacuated.
SP office is on Topkhana Road. Rampur Public School is nearby. Earlier there was Government Murtaza School here, later it became District School Inspector and District Basic Education Office. Both these offices were also built at another location and the old building became vacant.

The lease was given during the SP regime
This building was given on lease in the name of Azam Khan’s Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar Trust in 2007 and 2012 during the SP regime. The area of these two offices is 41181 square feet. While giving a 30-year lease, the government had put a condition that this building is being given to Mohammad Johar Ali University to operate. If the conditions are violated the building will be taken back.
BJP leader Akash Saxena had complained
Recently, city MLA Akash Saxena complained to the government. Wrote to the Divisional Commissioner and the District Magistrate. It said that the terms of the lease are being violated. Instead of the university office being run, SP’s office is running. Therefore the building should be evacuated. In this matter, earlier the Joint Education Director of Moradabad had written a letter to the State Education Director requesting for cancellation of the lease.
District Magistrate wrote a letter
Now District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar Mandad has also written a letter to the Additional Chief Secretary of the Secondary Education Department, in which it has been said that an investigation was conducted by a four-member committee headed by the Additional District Magistrate Administration, in which violation of the terms of the lease was found. The office of Johar University is not running in this building, rather the office of Rampur Public School and Samajwadi Party is being run, which is a violation of the terms of lease. Therefore, it is recommended that the lease be cancelled.
Encroachment was also removed from Rampur Public School
Five months ago, on the orders of the government, the administration had also removed encroachment from the Rampur Public School running in the building of Johar Research Institute. Divisional Commissioner Anjaneya Kumar Singh says that the administration has written to the government. After the government’s order, action will be taken to vacate the possession.
