‘Previous Promises Unfulfilled’: Poster War Erupts Ahead Of PM Modi’s Telangana Visit
A poster battle between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has intensified in anticipation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to Telangana on October 1. While certain posters raised questions about PM Modi’s delivery of previous promises, others accused Chief Minister KC Rao of ‘alleged MLA poaching.’
Posters aimed at PM Modi, distributed across various locations in the State, display his image in digitally altered depictions resembling ‘Ravan.’ Referring to PM Modi’s multiple promises that allegedly remain unfulfilled, the poster reads, “Modi promises to Telangana- ITIR, Textile Park, Defence Corridor, IIM, Where is Turmeric Board?”
Another poster aimed at the PM read, “What happened to your (PM Modi) promise of National Status for the Palamuru-Rangareddy Project?” Meanwhile, as a counter, posters slamming Telangana CM KCR were also put that read, “BRS Deal, Telangana’s biggest MLAs buyer.”
