Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) is planning to celebrate Virat Kohli’s birthday in a grand way ahead of the South Africa clash in the ICC World Cup 2023. Present Snehasish Ganguly confirmed that they will have a cake cutting followed by fireworks as well.
India will take on South Africa on 5th November at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Virat Kohli will be celebrating his birthday that day and it promises to be a blockbuster clash. CAB has planned some gorgeous things to make his birthday special.
Snehasish Ganguly while speaking to RevzSports talked about the plans they have in mind for Virat Kohli’s birthday. He revealed that they had ordered a special cake for batter and the entire crowd would be part of the celebrations. He explained:
“We have ordered a cake for Virat, and the design will be something everyone identifies with Virat Kohli. I am not sharing the pictures yet, for let that be a surprise. Also, we plan to host a fireworks show during the mid-innings interval for Virat and the crowd.
“It will be our way of celebrating his birthday, and our way of saying that the entire Kolkata crowd are part of the celebrations. We are sure of a full house and everyone in the stands is a Virat fan. It is a gesture on behalf of all of them.”

While the CAB President didn’t reveal all the plans for Virat Kohli’s birthday celebration, reports in RevzSports have given some hints. It is learned that 70,000 masks of the batters will be distributed to the spectators.
Also, there will be a laser show during the game. Virat Kohli notably celebrated his birthday with the media at the Melbourne Cricket Ground during the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. Coming to India’s campaign, they are in the red hot form in the tournament. They have won 6 games on the trot and are at the top of the points table. The game against South Africa could decide who will bag the top spot in the table.
